Welcome & Safety for All Welcome and Safety for All is a new Assembly resource for preventing harm from sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts (SOGICE). One of the proposals brought to the 16th Assembly meeting in 2022 highlighted the need for discussions around what has become known as SOGICE (sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts), also referred to as 'conversion therapy'. The Assembly resolved to appoint a task group to develop a ministry resource that could contribute towards helping to prevent harm from such SOGICE ideology and practice. This resource is now
available from the Assembly website here. In 2021 the 45th Synod of the Uniting Church in WA passed a resolution regarding Preventing Harm from Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Change Efforts. You can read more here.
