Installation of Rev Charissa Suli as PresidentOn Thursday 11 July, the 17th Assembly meeting in Sydney, NSW, will open with worship and the installation of Rev Charissa Suli as the 17th President of the Uniting Church in Australia. The President is the spiritual leader and the representative of the Uniting Church nationally. Opening worship will be held at 7.30pm AEST on Thursday 11 July at St Stephen's Uniting Church, 197 Macquarie Street, Sydney. The service will also be livestreamed at 5.30pm AWST with details coming soon.
Future Mission FundExpressions of Interest are now invited for the 2024 grant application process of the Future Mission Fund. The Future Mission Fund was established by a decision of the 47th Annual Synod of WA in 2023. The purpose of the Fund is to provide funding to congregations and other councils of the church so they may engage in new mission projects. The Mission Resourcing Committee will make decisions about applications for grants. All applications must align with the Mission Resourcing Framework. New Ministry Journeys (part 2)In part two of this article from Revive magazine, get to know the ministry journeys of Rev Samuel Annan and Rev Ana Lea'aetoa. Between September 2023 and February 2024 four new ministers were ordained in the Uniting Church WA - two Ministers of the Word and two Deacons. These four ministers have now also been inducted into their new placements, with three in congregational ministry, and one in hospital
chaplaincy. Revive invited each of them to share an insight into their journey to ordination, challenges and achievements along the way, and what life in their various placements involves.
World Refugee Day Ecumenical ServiceMembers of the Australian Churches Refugee Taskforce (ACRT) are offering an online ecumenical service for Refugee Week (16 June to 22 June) around the theme Finding Freedom: Family. The ecumenical service will include prayers, shared experiences by those who have been refugees, music and readings. The service will be on Thursday 20 June, 5.30pm AWST. Register here.

The Preamble: 15 Years OnA multi-sited Conference on the Preamble will be held 8 to 9 July 2024 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Preamble to the Constitution.
The central site will be UTC Sydney, with gatherings at theological colleges in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth all linked by Zoom. Presenters can be at any site, and there will be space for local conversations.

- Social Justice Meet-Up - All Uniting Church members who feel that their faith calls them to stand up and speak out on issues of social justice are invited to a meet-up to discuss ways forward while the WA Synod is without a Social Justice officer. The meeting will be for one hour,
at 5.00pm on Monday 17 June at the Uniting Church Centre, 85-87 Edward St, Perth. This will be an informal gathering and discussion. There will be a particular focus on ways to respond to the pressing need to stand alongside Palestinian Christians during the crisis in Gaza.
