West Side Story Helps Solidify New Jersey’s Appeal as a Film Destination

The Steve Spielberg-directed remake of West Side Story is among the growing number of movie and television projects produced in New Jersey. The production, which filmed in Paterson and Newark, comprised a total of 57 days on set, inclusive of pre- and post-production and added $20 million revenue dollars to the state’s economy.

Production Assistant Bootcamp Training Held in Old Bridge

A two-day intensive real-world, work-based job training program was held this month to provide skills, knowledge, and understanding of a film/TV production to 27 film/TV production enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds in New Jersey. The program, first launched in 2018, is provided free of charge to accepted participants, thanks to the generous sponsorship of NBCUniversal.
