National Weekend of Prayer, Reflection & Meditation
Communities of faith across Australia are invited to participate in a National Weekend of Prayer, Reflection and Meditation from 8 to 10 September, to reflect on and pray for unity and hope in the lead-up to the Voice referendum. Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Hollis encourages Uniting Church communities everywhere to take part in this national event which will unite people across different faiths and traditions.

Season of Creation 2023 - Throughout the month of September, Christians across the world will celebrate the Season of Creation, an annual invitation to pray and reflect on our shared call to care for the earth - our common home and the good creation of God. This year the UCA Assembly will be releasing a worship resource which will be available soon - you can sign up online to receive the resource once it is available.
Intergen's Season of Creation resource is now available. It is suitable for Year A Pentecost 14, 15, 16 and 17, and has been prepared by Rev Dr Michelle Cook, a UCA minister, Chairperson of the Pilgrim Presbytery of the Northern Synod and a UCA theology teacher at Nungalinya College.
Act2 - UnitingWorld's take on the future of the Uniting Church - Act2 is a major transformational change project focused on shaping the future of the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA). UnitingWorld have contributed their perspective through a written submission, and in an online forum where they were joined by international partners.
The 47th Annual Meeting of the Uniting Church Synod of WA is taking place from 8 to 10 September 2023. Many reports are now available to view online. All are welcome to attend the Installation of Rev Dr Ian Tozer as Moderator which will take place during the opening worship on Friday 8 September. The service will be at All Saints Floreat Uniting Church, starting at 7.00pm. The service will also be livestreamed - details on the event page. Watch Rev Dr Tozer introduce his theme here.
The Social Justice Commission are calling for new members. Are you a person whose faith inspires you to greater justice for society and the environment? Are you passionate about issues such as climate change, homelessness and the human rights of asylum seekers? If so, you can find ways to exercise your faith through the Social Justice Commission of the Uniting Church WA. The Commission meet around 10 times a year (mainly by Zoom). Education and Resources Co-Ordinator
The Education and Resources Co-ordinator will develop and provide quality resources and opportunities to meet learning needs for the ministry and mission of the Uniting Church in Western Australia. Expressions of interest are invited from Ministers of the Word or Deacons, Pastors or a lay person who is a member of the UCA, or applicants who hold comparable educational and theological training.

Formation and Learning Culture Co-Ordinator
The Formation and Learning Culture Co-ordinator will co-ordinate the formation programs and foster a learning culture within the Uniting Church in Western Australia. Expressions of interest for this role are invited from Ministers of the Word or Deacons, Pastors or a lay person who is a member of the UCA, or applicants who hold comparable educational and theological training.
