The announcement was made by General Secretary Rev Dr Andrew Williams during the Saturday evening business session at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Synod of WA, and received with joyful applause! May we meet in the Spirit of Christ!” These were the concluding words of the Moderator’s charge at the opening of the 49th Synod of Western Australia with opening worship led by Moderator Rev Dr Ian Tozer. Lay and ordained members elected from our Uniting Church WA congregations and faith communities of the Presbytery of Western Australia, schools, colleges and agencies came together for fellowship, to discern, and to discuss issues of importance in the life of the Uniting Church in Australia, Western Australia, and the wider community. Synod 2025 - Sunday 14 September HighlightsOur Sunday morning began with worship and holy communion, led by our Moderator Rev Dr Ian Tozer. As the meeting drew to a close on Sunday afternoon Rev Lorraine Stokes, Moderator's Chaplain, shared words of appreciation to Ian Tozer as he concludes his term as Moderator.
