We encourage patients over the age of 40 to speak with their provider about regular breast cancer screenings every 1-2 years. Get Your Flu Shot!As the flu season begins, the flu shot is now available at all LCHC clinic locations for patients ages 6 months and up. It is important to protect yourself and your family from the flu virus, and getting the flu shot not only reduces your chances of getting sick but also helps prevent the spread of the flu to others. Medicare Open EnrollmentFrom October 15th - December 7th, Medicare members can join, drop, or switch to another Medicare plan! The Open Enrollment period takes place once a year for anyone with Medicare who wants to make changes. Changes made during this time will start January 1st of 2024. Get to Know Our ProvidersFlorence Hsiao, MDFlorence Hsiao, MD, is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine who completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati/Christ Hospital. She was introduced to Lawndale through her husband who was an intern for LCHC's Dr. Wayne Detmer, inspiring her to pursue a career at LCHC. Dr. Hsiao's responsibilities at Lawndale include providing healthcare for the whole family, including maternity care and assisting in childbirth. She focuses on collaborating with patients to guide them through their health journeys with care and understanding. Dr. Hsiao mentions, "Patients have been very open to accepting me as their provider, and I feel honored by that." She values the connections she forms with patients and emphasizes the importance of open communication in building strong patient-provider relationships.
