We are happy to announce that during Earth Month we had two higher education institutions formally commit to campus climate action by signing at least one of the Presidents' Climate Leadership Commitments.  We also had a current signatory sign onto an additional commitment!

2022 Community Conversation Series:
Strategic Energy Planning
Today, April 28th | 1-2pm EDT

The next Community Conversation in the Series being facilitated by the Sustainable Endowments Institute is happening today.  Space is limited, so there is no guarantee that by registering today, you will be able to participate.  However, by registering, you can indicate whether you'd also like to receive the recording and call notes afterwards.  

Earlier this month during the 2022 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit, we were thrilled to announce the six higher education institutions who were awarded pro bono consulting services in Round Two of this initiative.  The awarded institutions are: 
 

The Pro Bono Consulting opportunity was first announced in Fall 2020 and thanks to the continued support of our partners, CustomerFirst Renewables and Brailsford & Dunlavey, we were able to offer this Round Two. 

Congratulations to all of the awarded institutions, and thank you to all of the institutions who applied!  
 

THIRD ROUND

Last week we announced the nine awardees of the Third Round of the Acceleration Fund!  While the colleges and universities were first announced during the 2022 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit, we were very excited to officially announce them via press release last week.  The awarded colleges and universities are:   
 

The Acceleration Fund is dedicated to supporting climate action activities driven by colleges and universities.  It supports projects that advance decarbonization and/or campus-community partnerships and resilience goals. The awarded proposals clearly articulate how the work relates to advancing principles of climate justice/equity.

Congratulations to the awardees!  Thank you to every college and university who applied, and a tremendous thank you to our esteemed review committee! 
 

Funding for the Acceleration Fund – Third Round was made possible by an anonymous foundation. 
 

2022 marks the 15th Anniversary of the Presidents’ Climate Leadership Commitments of the Climate Leadership Network.  A Network full of heart, courage, and dedication.

Academics for Climate Advocacy Working Group Inaugural Meeting
