While I haven't seen many of you as much as I'd like to, I'm still here and kicking. I hope this year was great for everyone, on the course and off.
I’d like to thank everyone who helped out this year at the events, our Region Board, Chairs, Chiefs, and to all of you who make this Region what it is.
2026 brings some changes, Mike Chilcote stepped down as Assistant RE to take on a larger role with our Rallycross program. We're happy to bring Jason Felty from a Director role to Assistant RE. Andy Riggs was elected as Director (3-Year) and we're happy to have him on the board!
Tis the season of work for me! Year end and W2 planning will have me busy, all while getting everything ready for the banquet. I look forward to seeing everyone in February! Keep your eyes peeled very soon for emails about trophies and banquet registration.
I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays. Until next year!

That time of year is coming around again, when we gather to celebrate our season and our competitors! Mark your calendars for February 21, 2026 and keep your eyes peeled for further details, we'll be at the Susquehanna Club again this year. We'll look forward to seeing you there!
1988 Camaro - National Car Search
I am looking for a 1988 Camaro I purchased new but had to sell when my company
transferred me overseas. I would like to locate this car, and if possible, buy it from the current owner. The last record of a title is in Pennsylvania.
I feel it is likely being used as a racecar considering its current age. I will pay $2000 to the first person that locates this car and provides me with a picture of the VIN number, a few pictures of the current condition of the car, and the contact information of the current owner. The VIN number is 1G1FP21F4JL149816.
Regardless of the condition of the car, I will come take a look at it.
The car was delivered with a white exterior and gray interior, though it may have been repainted for racing. It came with a 305 engine with fuel injection,
a 5-speed
transmission and disc brakes. The body is a coupe, i.e. no removable roof panels or
sunroof, etc..
I received a tip that my car actually may now be a race car and may have a paint scheme like the one in the below picture. This information may help someone who remembers a car with paint like or similar to the image above.

2026 On The Horizon
DEC 16, 2025 — As we look ahead to another new year, SCCA® is focused on improving the member experience, expanding access, and growing participation – while modernizing the tools that power the Club for the long haul.
Our 2026 Strategic Plan and Operating Budget, reviewed and approved by the SCCA Board of Directors, prioritizes continuing work on key initiatives already in motion – including a new SCCA.com and registration platform development – because the Club’s future depends on both the experiences we deliver and the infrastructure that supports them.
Is AI Driver Coaching the Future of Racing? Fire Laps Says Yes
DEC 9 2025 — Ask anyone how to log faster laps around a track, and the short answer will be “seat time.” The problem is, seat time is only as good as the laps you’re putting in. Keep making the same mistake time and time again, and those errors will compound and become second nature – before you know it, you’re learning the wrong line, the wrong entry techniques, and you’re getting on the gas too late. Hoosier’s TrackAttack Race Tire Brings with It New A8 & R8
DEC 12, 2025 — Hoosier is an undeniable powerhouse in the SCCA®. Stroll through the paddock at any road race or autocross and you’ll see Hoosier-shod cars left and right. Beyond the company’s spec tire status in Spec Racer Ford Gen3, Spec Miata, and now Spec MX-5, Hoosier’s R and slick compounds are among the most popular tires around. The ubiquitous A7 and R7 tires are about to become less common, however, as Hoosier announced on Dec. 12, 2025, its new TrackAttack Race tire, bringing with it an A8 and R8 that will reportedly offer faster lap times than the previous generation tires.
Winter Storage: Protecting Your Vehicle from the Fuel That Powers It
NOV 5, 2025 — As winter approaches, car enthusiasts need to consider how to prepare their car for the off-season. One of the most important aspects of winter storage is properly readying the car’s fuel system for months of sitting stagnant. Many cars are stored outside at ambient temperatures and conditions, meaning they’re exposed to temperature changes, humidity, and moisture from rain and snow. As the gasoline sits in your car over winter, it will begin to degrade and age, the results of which are only exacerbated by the outdoor conditions. It’s also important to note that oxygenated fuels, such as fuels with ethanol, in a car for extended periods of time could lead to damage of gaskets and hoses in the fuel system.
If you just read that and thought: My competition vehicle is stored in the garage or trailer, so this is not my concern. We ask you: Is your tow vehicle treated as kindly? And even if your competition vehicle is under cover, it’s likely still experiencing temperature swings.
