If you have questions about any of the products in this newsletter please get in touch. We look forward to speaking with you. Best regards, Laura B, Sarsen Technology SUPPLY & DEMAND - How We Can Help YouThe renewed confidence in the UK technology market means that industry demand for products and services is increasing rapidly. While this kind of growth is extremely welcome after what has been a turbulent year for many companies, it has started a trend whereby the demand is outpacing the supply for both bare PCB fabrication and electronic components.New and Noteworthy Technology
NXP i.MX8M Dual/Quad Core System on Module ORCA SOM is part of DAVE Embedded Systems' portfolio of System on Modules, based on NXP's i.MX8M Plus System On Chip. These SoCs are designed around ARM Cortex-A53 plus Cortex-M7 plus a Neural Processing Unit. An evaluation kit is available, with all the hardware and software you need to get started with your application design. XMC Graphics & GPGPU Card with Dual ARINC 818 Video Inputs/Outputs The Condor 4108xX from EIZO Rugged Solutions is a rugged XMC graphics card based on the AMD® Radeon® E8860 GPU. This card is built with two DisplayPort and two ARINC 818 compatible outputs, along with two ARINC 818 compatible inputs. The AMD GPU supports OpenGL, DirectX, and OpenCL. 100GbE SOSA-Aligned Development Kit This next-generation 3U OpenVPX Development Kit from Annapolis is both SOSA-aligned and 100Gb Ethernet capable, and is designed from the ground up to economically speed development of 100GbE Systems. The SOSA Development Kit includes a 3U Chassis, Backplane, secure Chassis Manager, FPGA Board with Gen 3 RFSoC Mezz Card, 100GbE Switch, SBC, VITA blocks, and MIL-DTL-38999 cable. Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC System-on-Module Based on the Xilinx® ZU11EG Zynq UltraScale+™ MPSoC FPGA, Zeus is a System on Module (SoM) specifically designed by REFLEX CES for Military and Defense purposes. This board is going to be a game changer for our customers, thanks to the 304 single-ended IOs total (104 LVDS), making the Zeus an ideal option for those applications that need a large number of I/O channels to the FPGA in a compact, industrial grade package. MIL-STD-1553 USB 3 SuperSpeed Adapter The NLINE-U1553 from Alta Data implements the latest USB 3 SuperSpeed technology for 1-2 dual redundant, independent 1553 channels. Full function capability for Bus Controller (BC), multi-RT (mRT), and Bus Monitor (BM), as well as o-scope signal capture on the first channel to troubleshoot bus signals. Technology Spotlight - RFSoCAn RFSoC is a programmable SoC with integrated RF data converters. We supply and support a range of products based on the Zynq® UltraScale+™ RFSoC family, which integrates multi-gigasample RF data converters and soft-decision forward error correction (SD-FEC) into an SoC architecture. RFSoC's high level of integration provides a significant amount of size reduction when compared to designing the same functionality with separate components, making them ideal for SWaP constrained applications incuding radar, C4ISR, UAVs and man-portable devices. The dense RFSoC implementation can save 50% in overall size compared to the discrete approach. There are a number of configurations available, from FMC+ ADCs and DACs to dual RFSoC 100GbE FPGA cards.
