National Search: 1988 Chevrolet Camaro
I am looking for a 1988 Camaro I purchased new but had to sell when my company transferred me overseas. I would like to locate this car, and if possible, buy it from the current owner. The last record of the title is in Pennsylvania. I feel it is likely being used as a racecar considering its current age. I will pay the first person that locates this car and provides me with a picture of the VIN number, a few pictures of the current condition of the car, and the contact information of the current owner $500. The VIN number is 1G1FP21F4JL149816. Regardless of the condition of the car, I will come take a look at it. The car was delivered with a white exterior and black interior, though it may have been repainted for racing. It came with a 305 engine with fuel injection, a 5-speed transmission and disc brakes. The body is a coupe, i.e. no removable roof panels or sunroof, etc.. I received a tip that my car actually may now be a race car and may have a paint scheme like the one in the [above] picture. This information may help some who remembers a race car with paint like or similar to this. Call/Text Jim Hudson, 404-229-3673

News from SCCA Deadline Nears: Now’s the Time to Nominate Someone for the SCCA Hall of FameMAY 15, 2025 — First celebrated in 2005, the Sports Car Club of America® Hall of Fame has become the who’s who of American motorsports. From Paul Newman to Phil Hill, Bobby Rahal, Lyn St. James, and more, those who have been inducted into the SCCA Hall of Fame are among the most celebrated and influential in the industry. That’s not to say it’s all about driving skills, with the likes of Dr. Bob Hubbard, Jim Downing, General Curtis E. LeMay, John Bishop, and many others working behind the scenes to ensure motorsports would continue to prosper. How did these motorsports luminaries earn their place in SCCA’s Hall of Fame? The first step was through their accomplishments and achievements. The second step was having someone like you nominate them for the honor. Speaking of which, the submission deadline for the SCCA Hall of Fame class of 2026 is June 15, 2025. Hagerty: What to Use to Clean up Oil Spills and LeaksMAY 14, 2025 — If you’re into #funwithcars as much as we are, you’ve undoubtedly needed to use an absorbent at some point to clean up freshly (er) “liberated” oil or antifreeze that found its way to your garage floor. Perhaps for the hundredth time. For that, Hagerty’s Kyle Smith recently stumbled upon a YouTube video where Project Farm creator Todd Osgood tested a variety of products that can be used to clean up oil and antifreeze spills. “The test was simple: Weigh out an amount of absorbent, then saturate it with oil or coolant and weigh again to see how much oil was absorbed,” Smith wrote. “This was also compared to each absorbent’s price to get a ballpark of both effectiveness and value. In the end, there were clear front runners for both absorbent mats and granulated. For a put-down-and-sweep-up option, these tests favored Coco Cleaner Pro, which is made from coconut fibers. Meanwhile, Pig brand mats fared the best out of the mat tests.” Even AI Says You Need to Attend the Upcoming Time Attack Challenge at NCM Motorsports ParkMAY 12, 2025 — The Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge is headed to NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY, on May 17-18, 2025, for the lone opportunity this season for Time Attack Challenge participants to take on the edge-of-adhesion thrills of this iconic 3.15-mile course.
