Our shire saw some of the worst flooding on record last week with Seymour hardest hit with water from the Goulburn River and its tributaries.
Residents were evacuated with hundreds of houses, businesses and properties impacted.
There was also widespread flash flooding and damage in other parts of the shire.
The recovery effort is well underway with community organisations, businesses, volunteers, State and Federal Government agencies and Council working together to help with the response, clean up and recovery.
While we're not expecting weather as severe as last week, there is still rain and thunderstorms forecast this weekend and into next week.
Please monitor VicEmergency warnings and avoid unnecessary travel if you can or have alternate routes planned, with many roads across the state in poor condition.
