Congrats again to all of those who participated in April Camp and special props to the thousands of you who won. We especially want to express our gratitude to the people who stepped forward to create community while HQ worked on program reboots. Thanks to all of you who served as grassroots organizers for hundreds of April events. They were a smashing success!

🛟 Launching Next Week: New Safety Features 🛟
We are ready to roll out our new and improved interface for community members who are under 18. This is one of many steps we are taking to improve online safety. We appreciate all of those who stepped forward to help us test this feature and to give us feedback on the beta version.
In the spirit of previewing what folks can expect (as this change will have impacts for all community members) we've created a special FAQs page. If you experience issues or problems after the update is released, please let us know via our help desk.
✨ Roundup: Changes at NaNoWriMo ✨
We've come a long way since November with changes big and small. Though we’ve commented publicly on most of what's new, information has come in different formats and has been spread across different channels.
For those of you who might have missed something, we've created a central page to link back to all of our major communications. For those of you who just want a digestible summary of the changes that are afoot, this page will provide that, too.

The good news is, our fulfillment partner has been letting us store our inventory for free. The bad news is, our free ride ends in August. That means our cost to warehouse our merchandise is about to go waaaaaaayyyy up.

🗺️ Municipal Liaison Program Update 🗺️
Recertification of returning Municipal Liaisons is currently underway. We are thrilled to welcome this group of hardworking and dedicated volunteers back to regional leadership. In addition to a focus on recertifying and reinstating returning MLs, we are working on additional supports that HQ can provide to make this a much better experience for MLs. In case you missed it, you can read about our early changes to this and all volunteer programs, which were announced in this March 1st email update.
Final note: we're hearing from a lot of folks who want to apply to become first-time MLs (and we're very excited about the level of interest and the enthusiasm to start!). For folks looking to step forward, don't worry—you haven't missed the application period. The application process will open as soon as all returning MLs are reinstated. We will make this announcement via email.
