All GPs are required to complete at least 12 CPD activity points relating to either pre-conception, antenatal or postnatal care. Forward supporting documentation for any external activities to ansc@cesphn.com.au. ![]() Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy - calling all ANSC GPs within the CESPHN region SESLHD, UNSW and UTS under the direction of A/Prof Amanda Henry, are seeking GP practices from within the CESPHN to participate in a New South Wales Health and NHMRC funded project to improve women’s health following hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. We are seeking interested practices with at least 3-4 GPs involved in Antenatal Shared Care. Funding is available for participation in the project. We are also seeking 2 GPs (whether or not from an interested practice) to become a paid member of the study Steering Committee and ensure study design and conduct is primary-care friendly. It’s a free NSW Health service that provides positive outcomes for pregnant women and their newborns. Get Healthy in Pregnancy is a free phone coaching service to support pregnant women with:
Health coaches are university qualified (e.g. dietitians, exercise physiologists) and trained in motivational interviewing to encourage healthy behaviours. Participants receive 10 phone calls over 6 months and can choose to re-enrol for more coaching or receive support via text. You can refer online, download paper referral, use group referral form or in Health Pathways Healthy Lifestyle Programs. Refer to the attached brochure for further information ![]() Psychological Support Services Psychological Support Services (PSS) Groups are available for individuals and their partners, living in the Central and Eastern Sydney region, who are in the perinatal period and are experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. PSS groups are free for eligible patients and are available face to face or via virtual platforms. Sessions are delivered by appropriately trained and qualified mental health professionals. For more information about PSS and how to refer please see the attached brochure. ![]() Go4Fun: Free health lifestyle program for children and their families SESLHD are excited to announce four face-to-face Go4Fun programs for Term 3 2022! Locations include Randwick, Mortdale, Kogarah and Caringbah. Go4Fun is an evidence based healthy lifestyle program for kids aged 7-13 who are above a healthy weight and their families. Trained health and community professionals run the program to support children and their families adopt a healthy lifestyle in a fun and interactive way. Go4Fun Online is also available for families unable to attend the face-to face programs. A referral from a trusted source, such as a GP, allied health professional or practice nurse, is often the motivation a family needs to join Go4Fun. Go4Fun is designed to complement the patient care you offer, and provides you with a practical solution for patients and their families.

The ANSC program is dedicated to the provision of quality antenatal care and we welcome constructive feedback from GPs to enhance program delivery. You can now provide feedback through the CESPHN website on the operations of the ANSC program including applications and orientation, communications, program resources and CPD. Program feedback will be discussed at quarterly ANSC Advisory Committee meetings and any urgent feedback will be raised out of session.
