The resources are provided by the World Council of Churches. Religious discrimination back on the agenda in 2024 (UCA) - Uniting Church President Rev Sharon Hollis has released a Pastoral Statement ahead of a renewed debate on religious discrimination. As a tool for Uniting Church members who may be seeking to engage in this issue locally over the coming months, the article also explores the current situation regarding religious discrimination laws, and the Uniting Church position and engagement on the issues so far. Charities urge government to urgently increase income support (UnitingCare) - "Seven of Australia’s largest food and emergency relief providers have called on the Government to accept the overwhelming evidence of hardship in Australia and urgently increase the rate of JobSeeker and other working age payments." Camp - the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) Choir Camp is a non-residential three day holiday program open to all children aged 8-18 years who love singing. Participants develop their skills as they sing in a four-part choir and make friends in a fun and encouraging environment. No previous choir experience is required. The Choir Camp runs from 3 to 5 July, 8:30am-4:30pm (all ages), 8:30am-8:00pm (13-18yrs) at St Patrick's Anglican Church Hall, 731 Beaufort St, Mt Lawley. bookings. National Sorry Day 2024 - There will be a Sorry Day gathering at Moort-ak Waandiny/Wellington Square on Sunday 26 May from 11.00am to 1.30pm. The event will include the screening of the documentary 'Genocide in the Wildflower State'.
