Whether you have a student taking summer classes looking for a quiet place to work or hanging out with friends around campus in search of food to eat, check out the places that are open. Weeks of Welcome: Monday, Aug. 15 - Saturday, Sept. 3 Your student is officially an Owl and one thing Owls never are is bored. Weeks of Welcome is the perfect way for your student to get involved—whether that means joining a club with a cause, trying something totally new, or building professional skills and connections. IT'S ALL IN THE CARDS…THE OWL CARDDoes your student have their OWLcard?The OWLcard is Temple University's ID card. Your student's OWLcard allows them to do just about everything: access campus buildings, buy a meal as part of a university meal plan or at any of the 100+ vendors who partner with Temple's Diamond Dollars program. If you have an incoming freshman or transfer student, they must submit a photo electronically as part of the Next Steps process on TUportal. What are, and where to use, Diamond DollarsOWLcard is important for your student to keep handy. Not only does it get them into buildings and get your student discounts around the city, it's also the keeper of precious Diamond Dollars. It’s basically $$$ that your student can spend at specific places on or near campus—they can buy groceries, get a haircut, do laundry and more. Learn.
