Click here ![]() January 2023 Education ministers approve updates to the Approved Learning FrameworksUpdates to the approved learning frameworks are now approved by state and territory Education Ministers to further support high quality education and care. The updates strengthen the connection between the approved learning frameworks and the National Quality Standard in areas including sustainability, transitions, theoretical approaches, critical reflection, the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, doing and knowing, and inclusion. A familiarisation period allows approved providers and services to start using the new version in 2023, alongside the original frameworks. The new frameworks become mandatory from early 2024. Key changes to the approved learning frameworksApproved updates to the early learning frameworks include the vision, pedagogy and educator's professional practice, principles, learning outcomes and greater focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. Royal Commission forum for parents and caregiversOn Tuesday 31 January the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care invites parents and caregivers to share their views and experiences within the early childhood education and care system, including what makes a quality early childhood education and care system and the factors families consider when enrolling a child in preschool. Early childhood regulatory forumThe early childhood service provider and stakeholder forum will provide an opportunity for approved providers and stakeholders to engage directly with the Education Standards Board.
