Cheshire Medical Center healthier together monthly ebulletin

At Cheshire Medical Center, the health and wellness of every member of our community is at the heart of our mission.

For Wound Healing Awareness Month, we spoke with Michael Ormont, MD, about the importance of eating to support healing. Cheshire is hosting a pediatric COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot clinic, and NH DHHS is offering a new COVID resource specifically for seniors.

With many Americans still behind on their primary care from the last two years, we highlight the expansion and evolution of Family Medicine at Cheshire—with preventative care saving you time, money, and possibly heartbreak down the road.

Cheshire Medical Center News

Dear patients and neighbors,

I wanted to take a moment to address some challenges we are currently navigating at Cheshire Medical Center.

Earlier this year, we reported the theft of a controlled substance by a former employee. Because the safety and care for our patients, staff, and community are always our top priority, since that time, we have diligently worked to investigate the theft and implement additional preventative measures.

To that end, we have reviewed and revised our policies and procedures surrounding the safe and secure dispensement of controlled substances and have hired diversion specialists. We are confident that these and other actions we are taking will allow us to continue to meet our mission for many years to come: providing exceptional care to the people and communities we serve.

Our entire team brings tremendous skill, dedication, and compassion to their jobs every day. Even in the face of unprecedented challenges caused by the ongoing pandemic, they work tirelessly to earn the trust that you place in us. Please know that our commitment to caring for you and those close to you is unwavering.

I thank you for your support as we move forward together.

Sincerely,

Don Caruso, MD, MPH
