The Expert Panel has now concluded its period of community engagement, with council submissions due to have been received by Monday 30 January 2023. This concludes consultation after months of public forums and engagement sessions with planning and building practitioners, industry groups, council Mayors and Chief Executive Officers, and the community.
On behalf of myself and my fellow Panel members, I thank South Australians for taking the opportunity to engage in this process in such a considered and productive manner. In total, over 600 submissions were received, and over 40 councils provided feedback to the Panel for consideration.
The Expert Panel has now begun working through the submissions to identify what enhancements it can recommend to the Government, and I look forward to being able to present the Minister with the final report and findings for his consideration.
The final report and recommendations will be delivered to the Minister prior to Easter 2023. Following which, the Panel understands the report will be considered by the Government.
