The New Zealand Film Commission plays a vital role in this, enabling stories to reach international audiences, supporting inbound productions and showcasing creative excellence. International engagement is vital. Offshore efforts focus on expanding cultural exports, building relationships, and strengthening New Zealand’s global reputation. We believe these areas are essential for sustainable growth in the creative industries and for amplifying New Zealand’s cultural influence internationally. Our work already aligns closely with the government’s ambitions for the arts and culture sector, as outlined in the draft Amplify strategy, but we recently had the opportunity to provide feedback.
