Don't forget to send your certification request once you register! Be a Part of Something Great!Every spring term, the Veterans and Military-Affiliated Students (VMAS) group conducts a bylaw review and holds elections for the next academic year. The leadership and committee submission form is open through Monday, March 16th. From there, candidates can present themselves during the membership meeting on March 20th and voting will be held on the same day, in-person and/or by another google form. Results will be announced on Monday, March 23rd. As military-connected students, you have a unique opportunity to participate in a nationally recognized student organization chapter on our campus. Leaders can attend the annual Student Veterans of America National Conference (NATCON), convene and engage with student, faculty, and alumni advisory boards, submit budget requests to the Student Government Board for consideration, and build a comprehensive toolkit of professional and academic experience that can propel you to the next stage in your career goals to, through, and beyond your academic pursuits! Leaders also assist OVS with important feedback that informs our own development, events, and initiatives that improve our institutional alignment with the Plan for Pitt. We're very excited for the chance to work with all of you! If you are interested in learning more about VMAS, please send an email to veterans@pitt.edu! (Disclaimer: per current bylaws, only student veterans can serve as chapter president.
