Welcome to the latest edition of the North Sydney Olympic Pool e-newsletter

Our monthly updates will help keep you informed about the pool redevelopment progress, key milestones, and details about our upcoming state-of-the-art community facility, as we move towards the final stages of construction. 

Project update

Council’s contractor, ICON, is reporting that pool construction is on track for completion by 4 December 2025.

Once the facility is handed over to Council, commissioning and preparation for opening will take up to three months.

Our priority remains delivering a first-class facility that meets the needs of the community, and we’ll continue to keep you updated.

Here’s the latest progress:

• Level 1 Program Room: Timber flooring installation is in progress.
• Level 1 Leisure Pool: Coloured concrete and pebblecrete finishes are complete.
• Level 2 Female Change Room: Tiling and fit-out works are ongoing.
• Level 3 Pool Hall: Glazing installation is complete.
• Level 3 Entry Façade: Glazing and internal ceiling works are in progress.
• Level 3 Grandstand: Membrane and seating installation works are ongoing.
• Level 4 Plant Room: Plant fit-off is complete.
• Upper Roof: Cladding works are complete. Installation of auto louvres and solar panels is also complete.
• Ripples Café: Bathroom finishes are ongoing.
• Southern Heritage Wall: Motif repairs are complete.
• Pool Hall Concourse: Membrane and paving works are complete.
• External Civil Works: Works to Alfred Street South, Alfred Street North, and Paul Street are continuing.
• 50m Pool: Defect rectification and pre-commissioning activities are in progress.
