NYC Inclusion Summit — Held at St. Francis College in Brooklyn on April 4, the Inclusion Summit brought together educators, advocates, and community leaders for a day of creativity and collaboration. From Awareness to Action: Neurodiversity Advocacy Event — On April 22, our National Student Advisory Council led a conversation on the power of advocacy through storytelling. Learn Different Day NYC — Was a celebration of students and families, featuring workshops, art, and powerful storytelling, all focused on connection and resources for neurodiverse individuals held on April 26. Thank you for helping us turn awareness into action. Whether you attended an event, shared your story, or brought these conversations to your community, you are part of a growing movement for change. Learn Different Day took place in New York City on Saturday, April 26, at Baruch College. It was a vibrant celebration of neurodiversity that brought together students, educators, and advocates. Hosted by The Neurodiversity Alliance, the event featured inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, and opportunities to connect with a community committed to redefining success for all learners. A proud autistic rapper, Dimitris has already been accepted to two colleges and will be the first in his family to attend college. He plans to study music and production. On May 14, 2025, parents, students, educators, and legislators from across New York will gather at the NYS Capitol for the 10th Annual Dyslexia Advocacy Day. This event brings together advocates to share strategies, elevate voices, and promote policy solutions that support students with dyslexia and related learning disabilities. This webinar was a virtual workshop we held in April. Led by National Student Advisory Council members Alli Mulqueen, Katherine Abraham, Sean Bizily, and Julien Bouchacourt, the event brought together participants from across the country to explore different forms of advocacy, hear real stories from neurodivergent leaders, and gain practical tools to raise awareness in their communities. The National Neurodiversity Leadership Summit is the largest gathering of students who learn and think differently. Held August 7th–10th, 2025 at the University of Denver, this free, one-of-a-kind weekend brings together over 200 students, young professionals, and advocates from across the country for inspiring speakers, skill-building workshops, and powerful community connections.
