Kia ora e hoa,

As a newcomer coming into Ara Poutama Aotearoa, one of the things that can be helpful in settling in is having a ready-made community and source of support.

In this issue of Tiritiri, we're putting a spotlight on the awesome mahi of our employee-led networks. Our employee-led networks are made up team members from different  communities, or those wanting to find out more about other cultures and groups within Ara Poutama Aotearoa. The networks provide an opportunity for our people to come together, connect on issues that are important to them, and have a safe space for conversation.

They are also valuable in helping to bring about changes in the way that we do things at Ara Poutama Aotearoa, ensuring that different perspectives are heard. We currently have over 70 regional and national employee-led networks. These include Māori, Pasifika, Pan-Indian, Asian, Rainbow, Neurodiversity, Women's, Veterans, Youth and Disability Networks.

Check out our feature story and video below, where we meet some of the leads of Ara Poutama Aotearoa's employee-led networks, and hear from Albert and Amber about their experiences being part of the Pasifika and Neurodiversity networks.

Ngā mihi,

The People team
