Click here Welcome to our Christmas 2022 EditionChristmas Foyer Display – Ralph the ReindeerThis year’s foyer display will be reflecting the story of Ralph the Reindeer. “Disaster has struck. Poor Rudolph has a cold, leaving Santa with nobody to pull his sleigh along. That is, until Ralph the reindeer turns up... To help make the foyer display extra special we are asking parents to help their children make their own star that will be hung in the foyer to help create a starry night. Christmas PlayThis year’s Christmas Play ‘Ralph the Reindeer’ is being performed by Nursery and Pre-School children in the Nuffield Theatre on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th December. Tickets are now available to purchase from reception. Please be advised that when purchasing tickets and placing DVD orders payments are cash only. Further details regarding the performances have been emailed to parents. Christmas BakingChildren from Pre-School rooms 1, 2 & 3 will be decorating Christmas cookies with Head Chef Stuart on Wednesday 7th December in the morning. Reindeer VisitThe Pre-School will be having very special visitors on Thursday 8th December. The reindeers will be located at the front of the Centre between 10am until 12 noon. Cake Sale in Remembrance of AlexanderThe Pre-School Centre will be holding a cake sale on Thursday 8th December in remembrance of Alexander, raising funds for Matilda’s Mission. It would be very much appreciated if parents/children could donate cakes/biscuits to sell and purchase on the day. Christmas Jumper DayOn Thursday 15th December, all staff and children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers making a £1 donation to help raise money for Save the Children. Christmas LunchA traditional Christmas lunch will be served to the children on Thursday 15th December. Cinema VisitOn Monday 19th December, children from Nurseries and Pre-School's will be visiting the Elizabeth Livingstone lecture theatre to watch a screening of The Snowman. Parents of children not in attendance on that day and wish to attend the screening are welcome to join us at the theatre. Christmas PartiesChristmas Parties will take place on Wednesday 21st December. All parents will receive an email invitation and we request that you advise the staff in your child’s room if your child will be attending no later than Friday 9th December. The times for the parties are: Baby Room 10.00am until 11.00am Crèches 10.45am until 12.45pm Nurseries & Pre-School's 10.30am until 1.00pm Harvey Rush Children's Entertainer will be attending the Nursery and Pre-School children parties. If your child does not normally attend Wednesday morning, you are welcome to book them in for the session, please make your request via parentzone. Father ChristmasWe are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to play the role of Father Christmas at the Pre-School Christmas party on Wednesday 21st December between 11.45am and 1.15pm. Please contact the office if you or anyone you know would be willing to help. Pre-School ClosureThe Pre-School Centre will close at 5.30pm on Friday 23rd December We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our parents and children a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.
