Peer program supports wellness
A new peer support program is providing an important wellness resource for medical and dental students at the School, building on the support offered by the Learner Experience Office.

Dr. Chakrabarti is one of the most cited researchers in his field and has made outstanding contributions to the study of diabetic retinopathy.

Moderate physical activity in adults is associated with significant protective effects from severe COVID-19 outcomes, according to an international study involving Drs. Jane Thornton and Saverio Stranges.

COVID-19 update for the campus community 
Western's masking mandate and vaccination policy will remain in effect until at least the end of this term to ensure the health and safety of the campus community.  

Drs. Keith Sequeira and Robert Teasell re-appointed interim Co-Chair/Chiefs, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Drs. Sequeira and Teasell have been re-appointed effective February 1 to June 30, 2022, or until a new Chair is appointed.

Dr. Maria Jacinta Santos re-appointed Assistant Dean, Learner Experience (Dentistry)
Dr. Santos has been re-appointed effective March 1 to June 30, 2022.

In memoriam: Dr. Robert Murray 
Dr. Robert Murray was the former Chair of Microbiology and Immunology at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. He passed away on February 18 at the age of 102.
