Product Feature: HD-IMA - Heavy Duty Intermittent Motion Autoload Cartoner
The HD-IMA is a versatile cartoner that can handle many applications. This application featured the system running medical cards for a major pharmaceutical company. The HD-IMA picks cards from a WIP plastic tote and then places them into a loading funnel via an AFA gantry robot. The cartoner packaged 25 and 50-count cartons via a servo-driven loader with a reverse loader. Bar code readers, a laser printer, and an OCR camera were integrated into the cartoner for this unique application.
Product Feature: TR-GTE - Glue Style Tray Former
The TR-GTE provides efficient tray former for irregular style trays. The system can handle trays up to 36" long with widths of only 2". This flexibility gives end users many tray variations to present to their end users. The system utilizes an AFA gantry robot to pick and form trays through the female tool. The TR-GTE features a heavy-duty frame that minimizes vibrations during tray forming. Furthermore, the system uses Allen Bradley servo motors and PLC.
Product Update: TP-RCP - Transpacktor Robotic Case Packer
AFA Systems improved the design of the TP-RCP case packer. All case packing processes, including case erecting, loading, and sealing, are now on one frame. The innovative Transpacktor case packer will erect the case and place the case over the collated product. This unique feature allows end users to save costs on expensive change parts for top-loading products. The gantry robot case erector acts as the loading system, reducing floor space and changing parts. The system can include all-servo change-over to have change-over completed in less than 5 minutes.
