The NYSF office will be closed from Friday 24 December to Monday 3 January 2022. Students will receive a program reminder email before the program begins on 10 January 2022. Found your buddy yet? It's been great to see you getting to know each other on the 2022 NYSF Discord! Have you found your buddy yet? If not, read on... We like to keep your data private, so we won't share email addresses without your permission. If you would like to contact your buddy and you haven't found them on Discord yet, email programs@nysf.edu.au and let us know that we can give your email address to your buddy so that they can reach out to you if they choose to. If you can't get in contact beforehand, never fear, you will meet each other during the program! 📣 Program announcement 📣We have over 200 STEM sessions booked in for the program! Here's a teaser, with a mix of digital and in-person around the country in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and our Digital Hub. *Please note that visits are subject to availability and change due to COVID-19. Take over the kitchen with NYSF Science@Home!On day two of the program, you will participate in a Science@Home session. You will conduct two hands-on experimental investigations as you follow along with presenters live!
Your program kit will contain a shopping list, which will list
what materials are needed for each experiment. You will be invited to register for your chosen experiment in a few weeks and will only need the materials for the session you intend to participate in. All materials can be easily found at your local supermarket. Night at the Natural History Museum On the evening of 20 January, you will be transported to London for a conversation on the latest research undertaken by scientists at the Natural History Museum. The pressure is on when you're working under the gaze of Charles Darwin! What time should I be online for the digital program?A fantastic digital program will be running over the entire 12 days - so you'll always find something to do! Digital sessions will be recorded and sent out to you to watch at your leisure after the program. Find your calling at NYSF Careers DayThe career sessions are some of the most popular events in the NYSF Year 12 Program schedule! This year we have a record number of NYSF partners for you to hear from and ask your most pressing questions about university courses, graduate programs, career paths and more. We have partners from academia, government, and industry (defence, medical, space, quantum computing) so there will be something for everyone. Have you been to an orientation yet?A digital orientation was held on 16 December for students who had missed earlier orientations or had joined the NYSF community during the last round of applications.
