Our monthly updates will help keep you informed about the pool redevelopment progress, key milestones, and details about our upcoming state-of-the-art community facility, as we move towards the final stages of construction. 

Project update

Council’s contractor, ICON, is reporting that the pool construction will be complete by July 2025. Once the completed facility is handed over to Council, we will need to commission and prepare the site for opening, which will take up to 3 months.

Our priority remains delivering a first-class facility that meets the needs of the community, and we will continue to keep you updated.

Since the last update, the lower roof structural steel has been installed over the Level 3 grandstand, marking another significant step forward. The lower roof steel entry is also nearing completion.

Work on the leisure pool is progressing well, with tiling and finishes now underway. On Level 1, tiling and fixture installation in the amenities area is ongoing. The Western Stairs have been fully waterproofed, with paving set to follow shortly. Once completed, this will provide public access from Paul Street to Olympic Drive and Luna Park.
