Scientific Board Meeting 2023The DFI Scientific Board had their annual meeting on August 21, 2023, where they discussed and approved the DFI Publication Scholarship applications. Please find an extract of the latest Scientific Board report below. DFI Board Meeting 2023The DFI board held its regular meeting in October 2023, and among other things discussed minor changes of the Principles Program regarding the Publication Scholarships. It is a precondition for starting to receive the payments that there exits a DOI-link to the journal's published version of the article. In particular, the DFI affiliation and acknowledgement stated in articles eligible for Publication Scholarships was discussed. At the time when an article is submitted for a Publication Scholarship, the Research Fellow may not be sure whether the Publication Scholarship will be approved and therefore it may be difficult to acknowledge financial support. With effect from January 1, 2024 the following acknowledgement in the article is required: a) A Research Scholar may use the following statement: “Support from the Danish Finance Institute (DFI) is gratefully acknowledged”. b) A Research Fellow who does not receive a Research Scholarship from DFI, and where it is uncertain that a Publication Scholarship will be granted, can use the following statement: “NN is affiliated with the Danish Finance Institute which financially supports researchers in finance”. When the application for a publication scholarship is approved, the applicant is recommended, if possible, to have the article updated with the statement mentioned in a).
