Transcripts & Diplomas for April 2024 Graduates

Congratulations to our April 2024 Psychology graduates! Here are two important dates to keep in mind.

May 31, 2024 - Transcripts with April 2024 degrees posted will be available through the Registrar's Office (G-3 Thanckeray Hall).

June 17, 2024 - The Registrar's Office will begin mailing diplomas for April 2024 graduates.

Fellowships and Fulbright Deadlines

Fulbright U.S. Student Program-- grants to pursue graduate study, conduct research, or teach English in more than 140 countries worldwide (Oct. 8, 2024)

Consular Fellows Program-- for speakers of Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, or Arabic (Oct. 2, 2024)

Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT)-- A required part of becoming an FSO. (June test registration deadline: May 30, 2024; other tests in October & February)

 

$1,000 Industrial Metal Service Scholarship

Industrial Metal Service is offering a one-time scholarship reward of $1,000 for one outstanding university student.

The scholarship requires students to create and submit a 300-word essay describing one of the following topics:
1. Innovative Uses of Recycled Metals in Design and Construction
2. The Role of Metals in Sustainable Development
3. The Impact of Metal 3D Printing on Manufacturing
4. Metals in Renewable Energy Technologies

Research Lab Manager Position, The Institute for Human Neuroscience at Boys Town National Research, NE

The Physiology of Walking and Engineering Rehabilitation (PoWER) Lab (PI: Dr. Max Kurz) is seeking a full-time Research Lab Manager. The lab, housed within The Institute for Human Neuroscience at Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE, is a human neuroscience laboratory which primarily focuses on how humans process and attend to sensory information, produce motor actions, and learn new motor skills.
Our goal is directed at the development of innovative, rehabilitative solutions for individuals with developmental disabilities.

A lab manager in the PoWER Lab performs work of considerable difficulty in various phases of research studies being performed, including management of data collection, supervision of research assistants, and support of data analysis and manuscript preparation.

Research Coordinator, GRaND Lab, University of Washington

The Genetic Risk and Neurodevelopment Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington, directed by Dr. Jennifer Forsyth, is seeking applications for a full-time Research Study Coordinator 1 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) position. We are focused on understanding genetic, neurobiological, and environmental mechanisms underlying the development of major mental illnesses. The coordinator will be crucially involved on an on-going NIMH-funded project based in Colombia that aims to identify early clinical and neurobehavioral markers of genetic risk for psychiatric disorders and improve prediction of long-term clinical outcomes. The coordinator will also assist on other on-going related projects.
