Product Update: HD-LSP - Heavy Duty Linear Servopack Autoload Cartoner for popcorn
The HD-LSP is the perfect cartoner for your popcorn line. The system has an incredible range as it can handle 3-pack cartons up to 44-pack cartons. This range allows end users to satisfy orders in the present and have the flexibility to take on new orders in the future. The cartoner also can handle on-edge and lay-flat pack patterns on the same machine. Again, this gives end user's packaging lines the flexibility to handle a wide range of orders. The system utilizes a servo pack collating conveyor to handle speeds of 300 ppm. A Nordson adhesive unit and Allen Bradley controls package are standard on the cartoner.
Product Update: CP-WCP - Wrap-Around Case Packer for tall canisters
AFA Systems' wrap-around case packer is a compact unit that runs 120 products per minute. This application featured the wrap-around case packer running tall canisters. The challenge of the project was to ensure the canisters were stable when collating into the loading area. Back-pressure devices provide stability when the canisters side-shift into the correct pack pattern. An AFA gantry robot pick-and-place system is used to pick and load the wrap-around case with product. A Nordson ProBlue Flex adhesive system with Allen Bradley controls completes this world-class case packer.

The CP-TLG - Top Load Case Erector and Packer incorporates three processes into one machine. The CP-TLG will erect and bottom seal the case, top load the case with product, and top seal the case all in one machine. Two or three separate machines are usually required to complete what the CP-TLG performs. For this application, the CP-TLG handles an incoming rate of 300 tubs per minute on two lanes. The case packer is flexible to handle more than five (5) sizes on one case packer. The system also handled two incoming lanes of product to the case packer.
