No images? Click here ![]() Welcome to the September newsletter! Spring has sprung and it's so nice to feel the warmer temperatures creeping back! We've been very happy to see Ben return from his trip home to France. He had a wonderful time and is refreshed and ready to go presenting his workshops and info sessions. Welcome back Ben! Our team is growing again with the addition of Tanya B in the position of Carer Support Assistant. This is a newly created role to help us as we move through some changes while the mental health carer hub (Kui) is being completed. We're busy working on the planning for the upcoming Carer Forum as well as the two events we're
hosting during Qld Mental Health Week. Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming groups, workshops or info sessions!

Day: last Wednesday of the month (from 28 Sept) ![]() ![]() Arafmi Carer Book ClubTne next book we will be reading is The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. Please register below for your preferred session: About the book: Written in 2013, the book is an international bestseller with over 3 million copies sold worldwide. Simsion has followed this up with two more instalments – The Rosie Effect and The Rosie Result. Don Tillman is getting married. He just doesn’t know who to yet. But he has designed the Wife Project, using a sixteen-page questionnaire to help him find the perfect partner. She will most definitely not be a barmaid, a smoker, a drinker, or a late-arriver. Rosie Jarman is all these things. She is also fiery and intelligent and beautiful. And on a quest of her own to find her biological father—a search that Don, a professor of genetics, might just be able to help her with. The Wife Project teaches Don some unexpected things. Why earlobe length is an inadequate predictor of sexual attraction. Why quick-dry clothes aren’t appropriate attire in New York. Why he’s never been on a second date. And why, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love: love finds you. ![]() We are hosting a carer morning tea at New Farm Park on the dates listed below. Meet us at the New Farm playground area, near the coffee cart at 9:30am where we will grab a drink and then find somewhere to sit.
