If you are a business owner or leader who wants to recognise your staff, promote your business, and take the time to reflect on your business success, we encourage you to submit an entry for one or more of the many award categories in this year’s Coffs Coast Business Awards. ✅ It's FREE to enter Entries close 5pm Monday 9 October PROJECT UPDATE - DORRIGO ESCARPMENT GREAT WALKThe centrepiece of proposed upgrades to Dorrigo National Park is a brand-new Arc Rainforest Centre, which will feature a spectacular elevated walkway and lookout to offer accessible and exceptional experiences for visitors. The Arc Rainforest Centre, combined with the new 46-kilometre multi-day walk, aims to engage more visitors for longer periods with sustainable nature-based experiences to support NSW tourism and local jobs. THE BIG BANANA GOES GOLDCelebrating the weird and wonderful Big Things found across Australia, enthusiasts can collect 10 different coins, each celebrating one of our Aussie Big Things. After many months of planning, we are pleased to announce that the coin collection is now available and Coffs Harbour is officially being celebrated for the first time ever on a $1 collectable coin thanks to Australia Post. GRANT FUNDING & BUSINESS SUPPORTCOFFS HARBOUR GRANT FINDERThe City of Coffs Harbour provides a free service for locals to find grants and grant writing tips. Register to be notified of specific grants for your business or organisation. INNOVATE WITH NBNA grants program that's designed to support regional and remote businesses There are 7 x $15,000 grants available, covering each of the categories: Health, Arts, Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Women in Regional Business, Indigenous Business Applications close: 29 September 2023 SMALL-SCALE RENEWABLE ENERGY SCHEMEThis program aims to encourage investment in small-scale renewable energy, and creates a financial incentive for individuals and small businesses to install systems which produce electricity and deliver hot water. Applications close: 29 September 2023 TAFE NSW - WOMEN IN BUSINESS PROGRAMThis program aims to offer a fully subsidised online program for women who are looking to establish a micro business, a small business, or who are already operating a business. Topics on offer include: Business, Communication, Finance, Marketing, Wellbeing Applications ongoing SPRING CLEAN YOUR BUSINESSSpring cleaning is a big focus this time of year, so why not take some time to give your business a once-over? There are lots of ways you can refresh your business and ensure you’re running as efficiently as possible. Check out these tips to help manage your inventory, tidy up your records, and reduce waste in your business. BUSINESS CONFIDENCE INCREASESIn August 2023 Roy Morgan Business Confidence was 94.7 (up 7.2pts since July). This is the highest Business Confidence for six months since February 2023 and the first increase in the index since the traditional 'new year's jump' in January. The Business Confidence survey was conducted after the RBA left interest rates unchanged for a second straight month in August at 4.1 per cent and after the ABS showed official inflation figures falling rapidly during the June quarter 2023, down one per cent point to six per cent.
