Eberly's Study Abroad Programs Spotlighted by Penn State GlobalJoel Waters, coordinator of education abroad and international programs, was recently featured in a video collaboration between the Eberly college, Penn State Teaching and Learning with Technology's Immersive Experience Lab, and Penn State Global. Waters has compiled a library of videos—including 4K-resolution 3D footage—taken by students as part of their study abroad experience in countries such as Italy, Costa Rica, Kenya, and Switzerland. "My goal," Waters said, "was to generate content so that our students here on campus who were thinking about education abroad would have as much information as possible before they had to commit a substantial amount of resources, a substantial amount of time, to that program; as much as they can, use footage that their peers have taken in the past, where they can really put themselves in their peers' shoes, where they can really say, 'That's someone who looks like me or who's about my age or is from my academic background.'"
