The Library book sale will run from Wednesday 4 to Wednesday 11 May, on the ground floor of Stanton Library. We have a great selection of novels, non-fiction, children's books, graphic novels and DVDs. All proceeds go to the library.
REQUEST A KIDS OR TEENS BOOK BUNDLEWhile the children's and youth library space is under repair, you can ask our Librarians to pick titles especially for you.
Click below to fill in our online form and a bundle of up to 10 titles will be put aside for you.
We will let you know when your bundle is ready for collection.

The Coal Loader, Waverton
The Coal Loader is one of the most significant industrial heritage sites on Sydney Harbour and an ideal subject for photography and other artwork. This walking tour around the site will focus on the material detail of the Coal Loader and provide historical background on their use.

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously around the country. National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) will take place on Wednesday 25 May 2022 at 11am. Come join our children's librarians on level one of the library for a session of songs, storytelling and craft.

Packs include access to our online storytime recording, a selection of crafts based on the National Simultaneous Storytime picture book and three additional library books for you and your child to borrow and enjoy together. No matter where you are, you can join National Simultaneous Storytime with our online storytime. Our story time will include a reading of the National Simultaneous Storytime book plus songs and rhymes for you and your child to enjoy together. LIBRARY OFFLINE: 11-13 MAYAll Library systems will be offline from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 May, for maintenance of our IT networks.
All IT systems including public PCs, scanning, printing, wifi and self service machines will be unavailable during this time.
Staff will be able to assist with the return and lending of library items and with basic enquiries.
DRAFT COMMUNITY STRATEGIC PLAN- FEEDBACK CLOSES 8 JUNE Following each Local Government election, it's Council's responsibility to lead a review of the North Sydney Community Strategic Plan in consultation with the community. This plan outlines the community's shared vision for the future of the North Sydney local government area. Community feedback is now sought on the draft North Sydney Community Strategic Plan - North Sydney Vision 2040.
