The University of Melbourne is working with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on a research project to understand experiences accessing care during COVID-19.

Over March, April, and May 2020, the NDIA made a number of changes to the way their services work to ensure participants could continue to access services and supports.

The survey will help the NDIA understand what participants thought about the changes they made to the NDIS in response to COVID-19 and how they found using tele-health (phone and video) to access allied health care services.

The NDIA want to better understand what worked for participants to help them shape how these services are provided in the future.

Share your accessible housing story!

The Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) for a minimum accessibility standard for housing in the National Construction Code is now open for public consultation.

The Australian Network for Universal Housing Design (ANUHD) wants to ensure that the Australian Building Codes Board hears the personal stories of people whose lives have been improved by accessible housing (and how the lack of accessible housing has impacted on them).

If you would like to contribute a personal story to help highlight the benefits of universal design, please submit your story to:

Kieran O’Donnell

email:  kieran.odonnell@abcb.gov.au.

Closing date: 31 August 2020

Please also say if you would like your story anonymised (identifying info removed) or kept confidential (not published).

For all other feedback on the RIS, please use the process on the ABCB Website.
