Call for Signatures: Advocate Penn State PetitionIf you have not yet signed the Advocate Penn State petition calling for increased support of Penn State’s 2023–24 state appropriations request, I encourage you to take a moment right now to do so. Your voice matters! Penn State’s appropriations request to the Commonwealth this year is historic, and should we be successful in securing greater funding from the state, the impact on our budget could be transformational for the university and our students. But for us to be successful in Harrisburg, it will require a strong effort on behalf of all Penn State stakeholders to show that our students, faculty and staff, families, and the Penn State community at large are engaged in this issue and willing to speak up for Penn State. The Pennsylvania General Assembly will not easily be swayed, but Penn Staters have the passion and the ability to make our voices heard if we “Raise the Song” in unison. This petition is Penn State’s first advocacy engagement with more than 50 new members in the House and Senate, along with a new governor’s administration. More than 5,600 proud Penn Staters have signed to show support. Don’t be left out! Please add your name now. You help put the “We” in “We Are Penn State!”Join our community of alumni and friends today! For more than 150 years, we have been keeping alumni connected to the University and to each other.
