No images? Click here Welcome to JCDecaux INFORM – a quarterly resource for industry decision makers, sharing the latest in Out-of-Home effectiveness. Happy Matariki! We hope you enjoyed the first long weekend holiday - much needed at this time of the year! It's no coincidence it’s been hard to get up and motivated recently. The winter solstice is a celestial phenomenon recognised in most cultures; in Maori culture it's noted as a time of changing energy, celebrated as transition as the earth tilts to a phase of regeneration. Yes it will get colder, but it’s good to know we're heading to spring/summer. Being back in the office as normal definitely feels like a tilt to better times ahead! Victoria Parsons JCDecaux Intelligence: Shopper list status in inflationary timesUnfortunately our economy is not tilting to better times. Economists are predicting increasing inflationary pressures. During May we surveyed 600 Kiwis to find out how they’re managing shrinking disposable incomes. Large Format campaigns help ensure brands remain on shopping lists, and are deemed necessary when cutting spend. Our Sales Leads are sharing this research with FMCG planning teams; reach out if you’d like to understand more. JCDecaux Intelligence: The power of brand codes in Out of HomeContinuing our quest to understand memorability, our next Intelligence theme is the link between brand codes in creative and category mental availability. Our study validates that brand code use is essential in Out of Home and highlights inspiring work that is both creative and distinctive. We’ll be sharing results with media agencies via a webinar on 14 July; feel free to share the link with relevant clients or creative agencies, or we can present to them after the webinar. JCDecaux Large Format certified carbonzero by ToituSustainable credentials are increasingly a key consideration for brands evaluating media partnerships. At the recent World Out of Home Congress, sustainability was highlighted as #3 priority for marketers, after effectiveness and capability; and ahead of digital execution. During May, JCDecaux New Zealand was delighted to achieve carbonzero certification from local agency Toitu Envirocare. We already exclusively use renewable energy as part of JCDecaux’s global commitment to RE100; carbonzero status is further proof of our on-going commitment to sustainability.
