Our Inland Waterways Drowning Prevention Strategy highlighted a key action to develop an inland water safety campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers that lurk in our inland waterways, and encourages behavioural change in younger males and our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community, who have been identified as statistically high-risk groups.

You might even notice a few familiar young faces from our community!

We've launched our annual Theatre Season for 2023, Electrifying the Arts. The season features six sizzling new productions sourced especially for the Albury Wodonga community, that are sure to spark up the stage. The season runs from March to November, and tickets are available now!

Wonga Wetlands, the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk and Wagirra Trail between Kremur Street and Horseshoe Lagoon have reopened after the flooding last year. A huge shout out to our team for their hard work in getting these spaces ready for the community to enjoy again. Make the most of this beautiful weather and head down!

Let's have fun

Have you seen the new playspace at Ernest Grant Park? The space is now open for some serious fun, and includes an all-inclusive playground, skate bowl and pump track, shade shelters, seating and picnic settings, new pathways and an 82-space car park on the western side of the park. So bundle the kids in the car and check it out.

Play for days

Grab your friends and family and join us for our free family-friendly Summer Nights event at QEII Square from 4.30pm - 8.30pm on 24 February. There'll be good vibes, a great selection of food and beverages, and awesome entertainment by Live Long & Sparkle, Checkerboard Lounge and Bustamento.

Feel the music

Did you know that 90% of the material in a child car seat is recyclable? In partnership with SeatCare, we're running a free trial during February and March to recycle old children's car seats. So if you have a seat you no longer need, take it down to our Albury Waste Management Centre.

Recycle it

Residents of Murray Park in Thurgoona have a brand new play space for all ages to enjoy. It includes an all-inclusive playground, multi-use court, landscaping, shade shelters, seating areas and a drinking fountain. Make sure you check it out if you're in the area!
