Bryonie has spent over a decade working on the ground at live events, while earning a 1st-class degree in Sustainable Festival Management. As Live Events Manager at Hope Solutions, she brings a hands-on approach to supporting festivals and live events clients with tactical sustainability strategy, solution implementation, and impact measurement. In this guest blog, Anna Johnson, Sustainability Consultant and part of the Show Must Go On (SMGO) working group, reviewed four recent major industry reports—More Than Music report (2024), A Greener Future-Festival Sustainability Insight Report (2024), Green Events Code of Practice: National Pilot Key Findings (2025) and Show Must Go On report (2020) to understand and learn from different approaches to best practice. Her review identifies the commonality of available information to strengthen the ‘state of the industry’ context for the SMGO report, and supporting recommendations for the industry as part of developing a Climate Transition Plan 2030. Extreme H Tests pioneering new hydrogen event power solution
|
Extreme H, the world’s first hydrogen racing championship, marked its latest major technical milestone in London, in May 2025, with the successful first test of its groundbreaking new hydrogen power solution which has five times the power capability of the previously used Extreme E system.
This collaboration between Extreme H, GeoPura and Power Logistics suggests that hydrogen power technology is on track to become one of the viable alternatives to fossil fuel for organisers to power events in the future. Read the full case study HERE>>
