Creating a Sustainable Vermont; Meeting and Feedback

You are invited to help shape VELCO’s 2024 Vermont Long-Range Transmission Plan and with it our state’s energy future. Electric transmission lines effectively serve as electron highways that transport electricity from generation sources to Vermont’s seventeen distribution utilities that, in turn, then deliver the electricity that powers our local communities. VELCO designs, builds, owns, and operates the statewide transmission system and is responsible for Vermont’s transmission grid reliability. The Plan identifies the new transmission line investments that may be needed to maintain system reliability.
