What's On Coffs Coast and major event calendar LOCAL NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES2023 ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTSWe've compiled a 12-month snapshot of Destination Coffs Coast activities and achievements. 2023 has been a busy year with marketing, promotion, business, and industry support. VISITOR INFORMATION DURING THE HOLIDAYSDid you know the Coffs Coast has seven (7) Visitor Information Outlets across the region to help answer your visitors' enquiries?
Don't forget, the Coffs Coast website has loads of information readily available - itinerary planners, holiday activities, day trip ideas, wet (or hot) weather activities, business listings, events, and more. Still can't find the answer you're looking for? The City's Visitor Information Phone and Coffs Coast Facebook Messenger is available all holidays during business hours (except on Christmas day). LOCAL EVENTSWhat better way to celebrate the year that was, than with friends and family at one of the local community Christmas events.Carols by the SeaEvery year the Woolgoolga & Northern Beaches Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Lifehouse Church, hosts the ‘Carols by the Sea’ concert right by beautiful Woolgoolga Beach. There’ll be a sausage sizzle, delicious food, great coffee, as well as visual delights and amazing fun for the kids, music from The Toads, plus a visit from Santa. Bring a chair or rug & take time out from the silly season for some old-fashioned fun. We’ll provide the words, you just need some friends and your singing voices! Friday 15 December, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, Coffs Coast CarolsCoffs Coast Carols brings the whole community together to celebrate Christmas in true Coffs style – laid back and family friendly. Bring a picnic blanket and join the fun Organised by The City of Coffs Harbour, with the support of community partners, this fun-filled evening will feature a fantastic line-up of local performers! Santa will pay a visit and to top it all off, the show will finish with a bang thanks to the fireworks display grand finale! Saturday 16 December, 6.30pm - 9.00pm, Carols by CandlelightYou are welcome to bring your own food, or from First Ave shops, but also some food / drink vans will be on site. Wednesday 20 December, from 6.00pm, Christmas Street PartyCelebrate the holiday season at the Sawtell Christmas Street Party! Don't miss out on a visit from Santa on a fire truck, live music, and Christmas carols. The holiday cheer will well and truly be in the air! Santa hats are strongly encouraged. Thursday 21 December, 4.00pm - 9.00pm, GRANT FUNDING & BUSINESS SUPPORTCOFFS HARBOUR GRANT FINDERThe City of Coffs Harbour provides a free service for locals to find grants and grant writing tips. Register to be notified of specific grants for your business or organisation. 2024 REGIONAL INNOVATION PROGRAM (RIP)Regional Australia has produced some of the greatest innovations the World has seen. RIP is about making sure regional innovators are given the support they need to succeed. The focus on these programs is about 'Action' - setting up and knocking over a whole bunch of tangible goals to get you where you need to be. Finding focus and through peer and mentor support getting out of your comfort zone to get the job done! FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INDUSTRY GROWTH PROGRAMThe Industry Growth Program will support innovative small and medium enterprises undertaking commercialisation and/or growth projects within the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF) priority areas. Participating businesses will have access to advisory services to help them overcome significant challenges that may be associated with their projects. DRIVE ELECTRIC NSW: ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING GRANTSThe NSW Government electric vehicle (EV) destination charging grant will get your business on the map. Literally. More and more drivers are switching to EVs and they’re planning their trips around EV charging locations. With $20 million in funding available, regional NSW businesses can have up to 75% of the costs covered to purchase and install EV chargers at their location.
