Our early childhood regulatory forum
Approved providers of early childhood education and care services attended our first regulatory forum on 28 February 2023. Adequate supervision: a regulatory priority in 2023
Adequate supervision is a regulatory priority for South Australian services in 2023-24 and will be monitored by the Education Standards Board and considered during applications and service amendments.
Notifying a serious incident
Detailed information is required in serious incident notifications. Services should demonstrate critical reflection, identify the risks to children and any outline improvements made following the incident to prevent a future incident.
Self-assessment tools now online
Our NQF self-assessment tool is now available online. Approved providers are responsible to ensure services and nominated supervisors are supported to comply with the National Law and Regulations. This tool can help to check your compliance and prompt continuous improvement.
Reminder: approved providers must notify regulatory authority of changes
Approved providers must notify the regulatory authority of changes to the nominated supervisor and persons with management or control of an education and care service, under s173 of the National Law.
