This spring, PhD and MD students crossed the stage during a series of commencement ceremonies, transitioning from students to alumni and adding the word "Dr." in front of their names for the first time. The UF College of Medicine was grateful to be able to celebrate with UF President Kent Fuchs, who was present for a whirlwind 28 commencement ceremonies this season.

Hear from a handful of MD graduates from the class of 2021 as they share messages with their classmates and reflect on their time in medical school, where they laid the groundwork for their careers as physicians, found inspiration in their mentors and formed lifelong bonds.

With survey data and college community feedback gathered, we are coming to the end of phase 1 of the College of Medicine’s comprehensive strategic planning process. Phase 2 will involve analysis and identifying themes. See the Gantt chart for a more detailed view of the timeline.

The Faculty Council honored five notable faculty members during last week's Spring Faculty Appreciation reception held virtually through Zoom. Each of the recipients' achievements and commitment to improving the health and well-being of others represent the very best of the College of Medicine.
