Dear NYSF students, parents and guardians,

This email is to provide further information about arrival day at the 2024 NYSF Year 12 Program in January.

As a reminder, the accommodation in Brisbane for the duration of the Program is Kings College, located at 72 Upland Road, St Lucia.  If you are arriving by car, please note that parking in the local area is limited and may have an associated daily fee.

Arrival Brisbane 12 January 2024

The NYSF has organised transport between the arrival points of:

●      Brisbane International Airport

●      Brisbane Coach Terminal (Roma Street)

●      Roma Street Station

At all locations, whatever your time of arrival, students will be met by NYSF staff or volunteers.

For students arriving at Brisbane airport, team members will be located at various points to ensure all students are directed to our shuttle buses. Volunteers and NYSF staff will be clearly identified with signage and name badges indicating they are NYSF representatives.

Students should collect any baggage before boarding buses. Buses will depart approximately every 90 minutes between 10am and 6pm.

For students arriving at the Brisbane Coach Terminal and Roma Street Station, students will be met as they arrive and transported by Uber or bus to the accommodation.

Students arriving outside of standard hours will be transported from arrival points by Uber with volunteers or NYSF staff.

On arrival at the accommodation, you will be directed to the check-in desk where you will receive your individual room key.

For students and parents who have made special arrangements to meet with an NYSF team member at the time of drop-off with your child, please go directly to the registration desk and make yourself known to our volunteers.

If you have any questions about arrival information or wish to advise of a change to your travel information, please email programs@nysf.edu.au.

If you have changes to your travel on the day of your arrival in January, please call the NYSF Brisbane Duty Phone number 0485 931 402.

Please note this number is for emergencies or short-notice information only and will not be monitored prior this date. Messages received prior to 2 January will not be noted or actioned.

Information on departure from the Program will be sent closer to the date.
