Actions for services closed for deep clean due to recall of sand

Following the recall of various children’s sand products as published by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and SafeWork SA, the Education Standards Board (ESB) has created a table to support Approved Providers understand what actions they are required to take if a service has closed for the purposes of undertaking a deep clean.

If you have concerns about the need to relocate or close for an extended period, please contact ESB.

Approved Providers undertaking excursions are reminded of their obligations under Regulation 99 – Regulation 102 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
