Promoting and protecting the data, insights and research industry

  • RESEARCH GOT TALENT AUSTRALIA 2025 - ENTRIES CLOSE 21 JULY
  • TRUST MARK MEMBERS - DIRECTORY UPDATE

Now in its sixth year, the 2025 Research Got Talent competition recognises and celebrates emerging talent in the data and insights industry.

A joint initiative of the ADIA and the global ESOMAR Foundation, and open to young research professionals aged 18 to 29 who are employees of an ADIA member organisation or work for an ESOMAR Australian-based member (individual or corporate), Research Got Talent encourages young industry professionals to utilise market research and insights to support local charities and NGOs in addressing pressing social issues. We also encourage employers to support their up-and-coming talent.

Entries for this year’s competition opened on Tuesday, June 3 and will close on Monday, July 21.  Winners will be announced in mid-August.

The Australian winner is automatically entered into ESOMAR’s global competition, offering them a unique opportunity to attend the annual ESOMAR Congress, scheduled to take place in September 2026. They will also attend next year’s ADIA Leaders Forum in Sydney.

An Australian first - the ADIA Trust Mark (established 2014)

The Trust Mark is a seal of endorsement that confirms ADIA Trust Mark member organisations comply with the highest quality and ethical standards, particularly in relation to privacy.

ADIA's Trust Mark provides reassurance to business and government decision-makers that they are purchasing research that is both quality-assured and adheres to ethical standards, as well as complies with Australia's only registered Industry APP Privacy Code, which is non-mandatory.

By using a research company that ADIA has regulated for compliance, clients can be confident in the legitimacy and professionalism of the service. The Trust Mark helps protect clients' reputations and integrity, reduces risks for all parties involved, and instils confidence and certainty. Additionally, it assures buyers that their data will be protected for research purposes.

Stringent, mandatory criteria need to be met to qualify for Trust Mark membership, including:

  • Privacy: Adherence to the Privacy (Market & Social Research) Code
  • Quality assurance: Companies must be independently certified and audited to the International Standard for Market, Opinion and Social Research qualifications (ISO 20252). Small business Trust Mark members may hold QPR accreditation or ISO 20252.
  • Ethics: Adherence to The Research Society Code of Professional Behaviour.

Trust Mark (TM) members are welcome to update their Directory listing. For the first time, TM members can also be found by clients on the Member List portal below. If you need help updating your organisation's directory listing, please don't hesitate to contact jennifer@dataandinsights.com.au
