AIBC Welcomes New Leadership Team
AIBC National President Jennifer Mathews (Left) and National Vice President Judy Anderson (Right)
Dear AIBC Members and Friends,
The AIBC is pleased to announce the election of a new leadership team with Jennifer Mathews as its new National President and Judy Anderson as its new National Vice President.
Jennifer, who is based in Perth, Western Australia, brings a depth of business and government experience, and the energy and commitment required of the role.
In commencing her 2-year term, Jennifer noted “I’m honoured and excited to be taking on the role of AIBC National President at such an important time in the Australia Indonesia relationship as we seek to strengthen trade and investment ties between our two countries. With the entry into force of IA-CEPA and the release of the Australian Government’s Blueprint for Trade and Investment with Indonesia, I see AIBC playing an important role in ensuring that Australian industry is aware of, and connected into, opportunities to partner with our nearest neighbour.
On behalf of AIBC, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of our outgoing National President Phil Turtle over the past four years.
His leadership, passion and commitment to the AIBC, during such an important time in the Indonesia Australia economic relationship, have been instrumental to the success of the organisation in delivering value to our members.
We look forward to Phil’s ongoing and active contribution to AIBC as Immediate Past President on the National Board.
Jennifer is joined by newly elected ACT-based Judy Anderson as AIBC’s new National Vice President.
With her business and government background, Judy brings a unique combination of commercial focus and international relations to drive mutual benefits for Australian and Indonesian business and communities.
Darwin-based Jim McMillan will continue in his role as National Treasurer.
AIBC thanks all our newly elected leadership team, and looks forward to their contribution.
