![]() November 16, 2021 President Biden Signs the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill Into LawYesterday, Monday November 15th, 2021, President Biden held an official signing ceremony for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill or BIF. The bill, which includes $65 billion for broadband deployment, now becomes law and invests nearly $1 trillion to update the nation’s infrastructure. House Education and Labor Committee Holds a Hearing on the Implementation of Covid-19 Education FundsTomorrow, Wednesday November 17th, 2021 at 10:15 AM ET, two House Education and Labor subcommittees - Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee; and Higher Education and Workforce Investment Subcommittee – will hold a joint subcommittee hearing entitled “Examining the Implementation of COVID-19 Education Funds.” The Department of Education’s Deputy Secretary Cindy Martin and Under Secretary James Kvaal will serve as witnesses. Congressional Budget Office Announces Release Date for Complete Cost Estimate of the Build Back Better ActYesterday, Monday November 15th, 2021, the Congressional Budget Office announced that the cost estimate for the remaining five titles of the Build Back Better Act will be released this week on Friday, November 19th, 2021. The cost estimate for eight of the thirteen titles have already been released by CBO and can be found here. The cost estimate for Title II, Committee on Education and Labor is still pending and will be one of the five released on Friday this week.
