Message from the Principal
Dear Parents/Guardians and Families,
As we conclude Term 3, I would like to reflect on the highlights of what has been a busy and rewarding term for our College community. While Kennedy has provided numerous opportunities for all students throughout the term, one standout achievement was our success at the ACC Interschool Athletics Carnival. Our students competed with determination, skill and team spirit, ultimately securing third place. This C Division result reflects not only our athletes’ talent but also the dedication of our staff coaches and the encouragement of the broader school community.
Another highlight of the term was our annual Community Open Day, which welcomed hundreds of visitors to our campus. It was a joy to showcase our facilities, programs, and the warm culture of our College. We continued the term by hosting our annual Father’s Day breakfast, a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the vital role fathers and father figures play in our students’ lives.
Our Term 3 Arts performances have once again demonstrated the breadth of talent within our College. The Dance Showcase and Year 12 Performance Evening were wonderful celebrations of creativity, confidence and student achievement. It was particularly pleasing to see our students performing with such enthusiasm and professionalism. Congratulations to everyone involved and thank you to our Arts staff for the many hours invested in creating these outstanding opportunities for our students.
For our Year 12 students, attention now turns to the upcoming examinations and completion of final assessments. This period is both challenging and rewarding, requiring commitment, discipline and resilience. I encourage our students to focus on the work needed to achieve academic excellence, knowing that their efforts now will shape their future opportunities.
As we head into the holiday break, I encourage all families to take time for rest and renewal. Thank you for your continued support throughout this term, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the opportunities of Term 4.

I love seeing faith in action. In the Bible, in the book of James, it says faith is real only if it leads to action! Throughout my life, faith in Jesus has made such a difference in so many ways. Our lives are made up of small moments, influenced by faith. My faith has guided choices, shaped reactions, increased wisdom, and made me more reliable and honest. Faith has brought kindness and helped me value people and time over things. Jesus has empowered me to treat others how I would want to be treated. The faith I found in Year 12 has made a life I never thought was possible for me.
With this in mind, it is a great privilege to have moments at Kennedy when we see faith burst out of students. I know their faith will help shape their lives as it has for me, and it gives me hope for their future.
On Monday, in the last period of our Christian Education program for Year 12s, we switched on a microphone and created a space for students to put faith into action. We gave students an open, unpressured moment to speak about what their personal faith means to them. Nine bold Year 12s stood up, one by one, and delivered a 30-minute message that was honest, courageous, funny and real. We heard about personal relationships with God, hope that was permanent, hearts that live to serve and stories of how God works every day in their lives.
As an aging chaplain knowing what faith in Jesus can do over the journey of life, it fills my heart with hope. Many of our young adults are launching from Kennedy with a robust faith that will help them navigate life. Their faith will also serve those around them who need to know that Jesus is real and powerful to build whole lives.

2026 ACC Interschool Athletics Carnival
Kennedy Baptist College’s athletics team produced an outstanding performance at the 2026 Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA (ACC) 'C' Division Athletics Carnival, finishing third overall at the WA Athletics Stadium on Tuesday 15 September.
A big thank you goes out to all the coaches, parents, and supporters for their encouragement, and to the students who made our College proud with their hard work and sportsmanship!
A New Space to Connect
From Term 4, families and visitors are invited to enjoy our new pop-up café in the Lower Foyer. Whether you're grabbing a morning coffee after drop-off or meeting with other parents, we'd love to welcome you.
Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, a chocolate croissant, a muffin, a cinnamon bun or a refreshing iced drink while you're on campus.
Please note: The pop-up café is available for parents, carers, visitors and staff. Students will continue to purchase their food and beverages through the Beedawong Café.
Term 3 Final Assembly
Our final Assembly for Term 3 highlighted multiple academic and sporting achievements, featuring presentations on recent significant events and announcing the Winner of the 2026 Kennedy Cup.
Congratulations to Kestrel for winning the 2026 Kennedy Cup! With an incredible 3450 points accumulated throughout the year.
Further congratulations to all students who received awards for academic and sporting achievements, representing Kennedy with pride and determination throughout the Term.
Challenge Accepted!
At Kennedy, we believe every reading challenge is an opportunity for students to build confidence, develop their literacy skills, and discover the enjoyment of a great book. Through the Research and Study Centre's Super Sevens and Epic Eights programs, students are encouraged to challenge themselves as readers and celebrate their progress.
Using Renaissance's Accelerated Reader (AR) and STAR Testing, students work towards personalised reading goals each term and demonstrate their comprehension through AR quizzes. Their efforts are recognised with rewards along the way and those who achieve their reading goals across all three terms are invited to special celebration events.
This year, 110 Year 7 students and 52 Year 8 students rose to the challenge and achieved their reading goals. To recognise this accomplishment, Year 7 students enjoyed a pizza lunch and Year 8 students celebrated with a Krispy Kreme morning tea.
These outstanding results reflect our students' commitment, the support of our English teachers and families, and the positive reading culture that continues to grow across the College.

College Notices
Student Withdrawals or not returning in 2027
If your child will not be returning to Kennedy Baptist College in 2027, please note that the College requires 10 weeks' written notice. Notices can be sent to our Registrar. We appreciate your partnership and support.
Signing In and Out
A reminder to please ask your child to sign in at Student Services if they arrive after 8:30am and sign out if they need to leave before 3:15pm.
This helps us keep our attendance records up to date and ensures we know where all students are throughout the day.

Back to School Information
Term 3 concludes for students today on Thursday 24 September 2026. Term 4 will commence on Monday 12 October 2026. Students are to wear their full Summer Uniform.
Uniform Shop
The Uniform Shop Term 4 opening hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.00am – 4.15pm (closed 12.30 – 1.00pm). Additional Wednesdays during Week 1 and 2.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Production Update
Our Production staff have been so pleased with the attitude and work ethic of the cast and orchestra during our rehearsal phase for our 2027 Production of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. There are 22 students in lead roles and 25 students in the Ensemble, ranging from Year 7 to 12 students, as well as 7 music students in the Orchestra.
Please SAVE THE DATE for our wonderful show on 25 to 27 February 2027. There have been some minor changes to the rehearsal schedule for next term, so all Production students are asked to check the rehearsal dates carefully through Direqt Message.
Canterbury Tales - 22 October

Beedawong Cafeteria Menu
We have a well-balanced menu for breakfast, recess and lunch. Everything is baked and cooked fresh daily with great options including baguettes, wraps, salads and hot food varieties such as beef or chicken burgers, beef nachos and hot chicken rolls. Lunch items are available to order online via Flexischools.
Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available by using the link below. These opportunities will include assisting at the Swimming Carnival, P&F Assocation and book covering.
Student Withdrawal
It is a condition of enrolment that at least 10 school weeks’ notice (not including scheduled school holidays) of a student’s withdrawal is given in writing to the Registrar at registrar@kennedy.wa.edu.au. In the event that such notice is not given, a 10 week withdrawal fee will apply per student.
Acknowledgement of Country
